This miniscule detail of his anime appearance could easily go undetected, so the fact that the cosplayer included itshowcases their careful attention when building the cosplay. Some of the most unbelievably amazing parts of this cosplay are Ryuk’s gigantic feathered set of wings, prosthetic facial makeup, and glowing red eyes. The wings are absolutely massive and created with numerous black feathers. These appendages allow the Shinigami to take flight and move around in the anime series.
Ryuk’s Shinigami eyes allow him to look at any human and see both the number of years they have left to live and their first and last name, giving him the ability to kill any human he pleases with a Death Note journal. In this cosplay, his eyes are represented strikingly, as they glow brightly and cast a red hue across the cosplayer’s face. Finally, rub_u1’sfacial makeup completes their absolute transformation into Ryuk, since every last part of the Shinigami’s face is molded out of prosthetic makeup.
