This action-comedy is set for release in two months on June 04, 2025.The story follows a contract killer who, as he is about to end his career, gets pulled back in by The Company, who asks him to train newcomer assassin Wihlborg. The film is directed by Simon West and written by Greg Johnson.Old Guyfeatures a leading cast includingChristoph Waltz, Lucy Liu, Cooper Hoffman, Desmond Eastwood, Ryan McParland, and Ann Akinjirin.
Now,ScreenRantcan exclusively reveal the latest image ofOld Guy. Theimage previews Hoffman in his role as prodigy Gen Z assassin Wihlborg. Wearing a suit, the actor crouches down in an area that looks like it could be a hotel room. He wields a gun with a silencer in front of him, but he also looks scared, waiting for action. His four visible fingernails are painted with polish, four black and one red. He wears what appears to be a wedding ring on his hand. Check out the image below:

The Movie’s Plot Combines Two Generations

While this image only shows a look at Wihlborg, the trailer highlights the relationship between Waltz’s cantankerous Danny Dolinski and Hoffman’s young and outspoken Wihlborg. There are plenty of movies about aging killers or secret agents brought back into the business, includingThe Equalizerseriesand the upcoming movie,Back in Action.This outing will be about the older and newer generation of killers, working as a sort of odd-couple duo.
In the trailer, Danny also ridicules Wihlborg for the fact that he paints his fingernails, saying “prodigy? guy paints his fingernails.“The latest shot ofOld Guyalso includes these painted fingernails, suggesting this will be a key character trait throughout the film. Whether this theme of painted nails will be the smoking gun for any plot twist later on in the film remains to be seen.
