Summary

Call of Dutyis already known for featuring some particularly violent moments butBlack Ops 6: Zombiesis taking things to an entirely new level. As players count down to the release of what’s quickly becoming one of themost anticipated entries in the ever-popular franchise, Activision is sharing more details on what the community can expect from this year’s undead game mode. Serving as both an escalation of the franchise while also going back toZombies' roots in some regards, one thing the mode won’t be lacking is blood and guts.

Per YouTuber and content creatorMrDalekJD,developer Treyarch has finally added what is described as a “game over outro” that will roll whenever a player succumbs to the zombie horde.

This clip won’t just be a simple death scene though, asit will document how the user’s character is viscerally torn apart by the undead, which sounds like an especially gruesome way to end off a match. These outros have yet to be showcased at all, but based on MrDalekJD’s reaction, it sounds as though players who die will be in for an especially violent time.

Bigger And Better Than Ever

TheZombiesgame mode inCall of Dutyhas always been synonymous with Treyarch and theBlack Opssub-franchise, so it makes sense that the next mainline installment would expand upon it in some meaningful way.One of the smallest but most widely appreciated additions is an option to save in the middle of a solo run. This means that players involved in a particularly successful match by themselves have the option of simply saving their progress and resuming the game later rather than leaving their device on for extended periods.

One of the other fantastic quality-of-life improvements coming toBlack Ops 6: Zombiesis the ability to join a match that’s already in progress. Players now have the option to drop into a friend’s game without having to restart from scratch, making for a smoother co-op experience. Finally, a new “guided mode” should help newcomers settle into the game better given thatZombiescan be a difficult format to learn given the amount of Easter eggs scattered through each map.
