Ark: Survival Ascendedhas revealed details of its Valentine’s Day event for 2025, Love Ascended. This yearly, time-limited event is always held in February, celebrating all things pink and heart-shaped with a series of unique rewards for players who participate.February 2025 is no different forArkfans, with Love Ascended bringing a new set of tames, EXP boosts, and cosmetic items toSurvival Ascended. Although some of these items are repeated every year, there’s always a fresh crop for longtimeArkplayers who have collected most of the available loot already.
This year’s Love Ascended lands smack in the middle of two majorArk: Survival AscendedDLC expansions:Extinction, which was released in December, andRagnarok, which is due out in Aprilafter delays. Ark: Survival Ascended’s 2025 Valentine’s Day event features three new and returning creatures, listed here. Below, you’ll also find a quick look at how to find them, and what they might provide if you do.
Of the three, we know the least about Lovebirds, since they’re a new addition for this year. Obviously, they’ll be some kind of avian creature, but just where players will encounter them, how they’ll be able to interact with them, and what rewards they’ll get for doing so are unknown. Love Bugs return from previous years. These smaller, highly aggressive variants of Rhyniognatha can be found all around various maps. While they can’t be tamed,they’ll drop Love Bug Hearts - a special kind of event itemthat can be used to craft various rewards.
When Ark: Survival Ascended Power Rangers Wave 2 Releases
Wave 2 of Ark: Survival Ascended’s Power Rangers crossover is fast approaching but only seems to slightly improve on its cosmetic-focused predecessor.
In addition,the Valentine’s Day Coelacanth variant returnsfor Love Ascended 2025. This is a pink-tinted version of the regular coelacanth, a common fish that can be found everywhere throughoutArk. It can be caught using a Love Bug Heart as bait, possibly yielding Boxes o' Chocolate (which have some new mechanics this year), Dino Candies, or Chibis.

New & Returning Cosmetic Items For Love Ascended 2025
A number of cosmetic items will also be returningin the 2025 edition of Love Ascended. These include skins, which change the appearance of player characters' weapons, armor, and furniture, and creature colors, which will be applied to wild dinos throughout the world. Let’s look at the skins first:

If a player finds a dino in one of these unique shades, they can tame them for an especially colorful companion.There are no new creature colorsfor this year’s event.
Chibis, Items, & Emotes In Love Ascended Event

Besides all that, there are a handful of other items coming toArk’s 2025 Love Ascended event, beginning with Chibis. Chibis are sort of like the equivalent toNeopets' Petpets: tiny pets you can carry along with you, that don’t do much apart from occasionally leveling up.This year’s Love Ascended includes two new Chibis, both newtoArk:
Next, event items: these unique collectibles can be found during Love Ascended, and used to complete some of its unique activities, or crafted into some of its unique skins. Nothing new here this year;it’s all the same stuff as the last Valentine’s Day event. However, the Box o' Chocolates has been given an additional effect, reducing the mating cooldown of tames it’s fed to by 20%.
And finally,there are two new (and three returning) emotes in Love Ascended 2025. These in-game gestures allow players to gesture playfully to others they encounter.
