For anyone watching theOne Pieceanime, April is going to be the best month to be a fan. As anyOne Piecefan will know, the anime went on hiatus in October 2024 to help maintain consistent quality in the future, and as understandable as that is, it was nonetheless surprising to seeOne Piece, of all anime, do that for the first time in its decades-long run.
Fans of theOne Pieceanime have been starved for content for months, but that’s finally set to change soon. It’s been previously announced thattheOne Pieceanime will return in April, albeit at a later timeslot, and with what’s to be expected of the upcoming content and how it’s been handled in other territories,April 2025 will undoubtedly be the biggest month to be a fan of theOne Pieceanime in ages. There’s a lot that goes into why that is, and overall, it’s never been better to be aOne Piecefan.

The biggest reason to be excited aboutOne Piece’s return, of course, is because of everything that still has to be adapted from the manga. For starters, not only will the anime finally adaptKuma’s backstory, but it will also adapt the fight between Luffy and Kizaru, one of the best fights in the Egghead arc. Both the latest opening and the trailer for the anime’s return put a lot of focus on Kizaru, and as such,Luffy and Kizaru’s fight has all the setup to be one of the best fights inOne Piece, if not the best.
An even bigger draw, of course, comes from the arc’s climax. Between the arrival of the Five Elders and their monstrous forms, Kuma’s cathartic punch on Saint Saturn, and Vegapunk’s speech to the world filled with new reveals and cameos from dozen of iconic characters,One Piece’s Egghead arc has one of the most dynamic climaxes in the series, and it will be great to see it play out in animation. SeeingOne Piececontinue after half a year would always be exciting, but with just how great the rest of the Egghead arc is, that point is even stronger.
One Piece Fans Will Finally Be Caught Up With Its English Dub
There’s Never Been A Better Time To Watch One Piece’s English Dub
April 2025 will also be big for fans ofOne Piece’s English dub, specifically. It was recently announced thatOne Piece’s dub has caught up with Japan, with the most recent batch of episodes coming to Crunchyroll on March 18. Having the dub finally be caught up after over a decade is exciting on its own, but more importantly,One Piece’s English dub being caught up with the anime means there’s finally a chance for a simuldub when the anime returns, and for old and new fans alike, that would be great to see.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been confirmed thatOne Piecewill receive a simuldub, and with how massive a projectOne Pieceis, it would make sense if the staff sticks with batch releases. Nevertheless, a simuldub even being possible is still exciting, and overall, the current status ofOne Piece’s English dub, whatever it may lead to, perfectly lends itself to why April 2025 will be so exciting forOne Piece. There’s never been a better time to be a fan of theOne Pieceanime, and hopefully, everything from April 2025 onward will more than live up to the hype.
