As the seasons change in real life, so do the seasons inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. While we say goodbye to summer and welcome in fall, players can expect a change in bugs, fish, and deep-sea creatures and the introduction ofseasonal items and new activities. Despite August being a slower month,September is one of the more content-packed months, with plenty of content for both old and new players to enjoy.

Now is the time to keep your eyes wide open forrare seasonal crittersthat only appear for a short period of time before rotating with the next month’s bugs and fish. Players who have yet to finish their museum or want to add any of these seasonal critters to their own personal collection are encouraged tokeep their nets and fishing rods handy. For those not interested in catching these seasonal critters, there’s still plenty to do inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsduring the month of September.

You’ll notice there are a lot ofaesthetic differences between fall and summer, such as the grass being lighter green. There are also bush changes. Northern Hemisphere players can enjoy the tea olive bush as soon as September 21.
