Amulets and Trinkets inAssassin’s Creed Shadowsare one of the various types of legendary pieces of equipment you can collect while exploring and completing different quests. Amulets can only be used by Yasuke, while Naoe is the only character who can use Trinkets. While there are plenty of epic and lower-quality trinkets and amulets scattered aroundAC Shadows’massive open world, legendary trinkets and amulets are more uncommon and often have much better buffs. Once you collect a trinket or amulet, its effect becomes available as an engraving, similar to how legendary armor and weapons work.
Legendary Trinkets and Amulets have a wide range of effects, and often these can be build-defining items, such as theMasakado’s Vengeance trinket that increases damage for every unspent Mastery Point. Similar to legendary armor andlegendary weapons inAC Shadows, when you pick up a legendary amulet or trinket, you also unlock an engraving that corresponds with that item’s perk. No matter your playstyle, there are plenty of different amulets and trinkets for any type of build, and sinceAC Shadowslets you re-spec for free, you may experiment with each new item as you pick it up.

All Naoe’s Legendary Trinkets In AC Shadows & How To Get Them
Masakado’s Vengeance Is OP
Trinkets are specific to Naoe, and there are a wide range of options available, with some being available very early in the game and others located in somewhat obscure locations. There is a weapon-specific trinket that increases Naoe’s stats if she only equips one of her three main weapon types inAC shadows- the Tanto, Kusarigama, or Katana. The Kusarigama is easily my favorite Naoe weapon, and theFluttering Mothtrinket is perfect for a Kusarigama-only build. Both theDragonfly’s CunningandOmukade’s Feastare viable for the same strategy with the Katana and Tanto, respectively.

There’s one trinket that outshines the others:Masakado’s Vengeance, found in the Ishibutai Kofun in Yamato (also available as an Amulet for Yasuke). This trinket increases damage by 1% for each unspent Mastery Point, and if you’ve played enoughAC Shadows, you’ll understand that Mastery Points are not in short supply by any means. I often found myself with unspent Mastery Points without realizing it, as they are ubiquitous.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Best Early Abilities To Unlock For Yasuke & Naoe
There are many abilities to choose from in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but the some of the best are extremely useful to unlock early in the campaign.
Remember thatyou can engrave these legendary trinkets with any of the above abilitiesonce the item has been picked up, so you aren’t necessarily bound to a single effect. Experimenting with different combinations of effects and builds is an effective way to figure out what works best for you or which items are ideal for your playstyle.

All Yasuke’s Legendary Amulets In AC Shadows & How To Get Them
Armor Eater Is An Easy Stat Booster For Yasuke
Yasuke’s Amulets are the equivalent to Naoe’s trinkets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and there are similar options available in terms of weapon-specific buffs. TheArmor Eateris easily the best version of this amulet, however, as it doesn’t require you to only equip a single weapon type. Armor Eater boosts stats with a ranged weapon equipped, meaning if you’re playing with a Bow or Teppo in Yasuke’s secondary weapon slot, you can get an easy +15% boostwithout sacrificing a weapon slot. This is an excellent option for an engraving as well.

Alternatively, Yasuke has similar options that allow for a single melee-weapon focus: the Encouragement amulet for Naginata, Headhunter for Long Katana, and Heartseeker for the Kanabo. Further, the both the Teppo and Kanabo’s effects can be buffed with the Warrior’s Respite and Scale of the Koi amulets, increasing the Tepp’s headshot damage or the Kanabo’s Armor Piercing effect. No matter your weapon of choice or playstyle for both Yasuke and Naoe, there are tons of different trinket and amulet options to experiment with inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.
