The9-1-1franchise is set to expand with a new spinoff, and there’s already a ton of exciting details about the debut season of9-1-1: Nashville. Initially developed for Fox by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, the original9-1-1has run for nearly a decade and even survived a switch to ABC.

The latest9-1-1: Nashvillenews is that the spinoff series has a premiere date.ABC officially announced premiere datesfor its fall schedule in July 2025-07-31-1: Nashvillewill air alongside the flagship series on Thursdays. The new series is sandwiched between9-1-1andGrey’s Anatomyon the fall schedule, which is sure to help it gain an audience.

LeAnn Rimes has also revealed a little bit more information about her character, despite few details being shared about the show as a whole.Rimes spoke withThe Flow Spaceabout her experience working on the show.Rimes revealed that her character would be a mother, speaking about the crew’s reaction:
They were like, ‘Oh, wow, we heard you’re going to be playing a mom. What? There’s no way you’re old enough to play a mom!'
Rimes is 42 years old, which is certainly old enough to be a mom, but the reaction is likely due to her character being the mom of an older character, potentially one of the other young main characters.

Even as the first9-1-1spinoff rides off into the sunset, another has risen to take its place almost immediately.ABC announced development on9-1-1: Nashvillein February 2025, and it was clear that the network hoped to bring it to the small screen as soon as possible.
Nashvilleis going to be part of ABC’s 2025-2026 season. It will air after the flagship series on ABC on Thursday nights, keeping the remaining9-1-1shows together.

She described her characters as an “equal mix of strong and smart and strategic and ambitious"when speaking with TV Line. It has also been revealed that her character is in the horse racing business.
The rest of the ensemble was announced at a much later date, but the ones to garner the most interest are Hailey Kilgore and LeAnn Rimes, who both have music backgrounds - the former on the Broadway stage and the latter in country music. Kilgore’s Taylor is even described as a singer and firefighter in her character description.
Roxie, played by Juani Feliz, has been termed an “adrenaline junkie” and Blue, played by Hunter McVey, has been described as a “bad boy” who has become a firefighter. Very little is known about any of the other characters just yet, though it’s recently been announced that country music star Kane Brown will make an appearance in the series premiere, helping to establish that it will be as much about the Nashville music scene as first responders.

The inclusion of the burning guitar only further solidifies the idea that9-1-1: Nashvillewill set itself apart from its predecessors by leaning into the music associated with the new setting.
The second teaser trailer features a fire tornado tearing its way through Nashville, though it does not feature any footage from the upcoming series. Like the first teaser, it is entirely animated.
