TheTrailblazerinStar Wars Outlawsis your trusty ship that you will depend on to get from planet to planet and to fight your battles. Because of this, you will want to upgrade it as much as possible to have the best chances going into a fight. So don’t stop at being content that it flies, make sure you have thebest upgrades possible as you take to traveling the galaxy.
Much like theSpeeder inStar Wars Outlawsis the key to land travel, the Trailblazer is yourone-stop shop for all space travel. You will not be able to pilot or travel in other ships, and this one is all yours after acquiring it very hastily. You will have to provide acertain number of credits and find a ship mechanicto upgrade theTrailblazer, with a few upgrades requiring a few more parts.

7E-410 Sublight Engine
Propulsion Upgrade
The Engines are good to have, butthey are not the best upgrades and should be a slightly lower prioritythan the rest. This is because the upgrades for the engines are not going to help you in combat, as they onlyimprove speed during Travel Mode. This is a good convenience, but it is less practical than your other options.
Star Wars Outlaws: Should You Keep The Pearl Or Give It To The Broker?
Star Wars Outlaws’ “The Broker” mission gives players a choice about what to do with a highly sought after pearl, but is there a best decision?
Generally speaking, this is ano-nonsense upgrade, as there is nothing special you need to acquire them, just the credits and the previous upgrades needed to bring your ship up to speed - literally. You can get this upgrade easily enough later in the gameafter you have acquired the weapons and Hull upgradesthat you like the best. Your priority should instead focus on upgrades that affect combat, saving ones that do not until later.

6S50C Deflector Shield
Defense Upgrade
The two main defensive parts of your ship, theShields and the Hull, are important to keep it in tip-top shape. The deflector shield has one main part, and the best upgrade you can get for it is the S50C. Each upgrade and piece of the deflector shield onlygives you a greater capacity, so this is not your biggest priority, but more health is always better.
For some of the upgrades, there is only one main path that you can progress along. This is the case for theShield, Hull, and Engines. In those cases, the upgrades do not massively change gameplay but rather improve on the previous version.

You will have to have theprevious two Shield upgradesto get this one, but any Shield is better than none. This should be a priority, but it isnot as important as the Hull itself. You will want to have a decent shield to make it through hefty combat, but if your Hull is not as good as it needs to be, then your shield capacity will matter less if your ship can be destroyed as soon as you lose the Shield.
5M-108 Ion Missiles
Missile Upgrade
If you want thatconsistent source of ion damage, this is a great upgrade to have on board. It is part of the missile upgrade path, and it shoots ionized energy that can disable ships. This is half of a great combo with any other weapon, as you candisable the ships first, remove or disable any other threat, and then take it out with a different weapon. It can be quite fun to fly around with these for that reason.
For both main weapons, there arethree main upgrade paths.Missiles can be upgraded into concussion missiles, torpedos, and ion missiles.

With this particular upgrade, you will haveincreased damage and effectiveness, being able to hit bigger and more threatening ships and disable them as well. To see the other types of possible missiles, see the table below:
Torpedos
M-52: Deals light damage to enemies.
T-350: Less maneuverable missiles that deal greater, explosive damage in a radius.
M-72: Increases the damage.
PT-240 Proton Torpedos: An upgrade that increases the damage, explosion radius, and maneuverability.
CM-2 Arana Cluster: Locks on to multiple targets.
N/A
Whichever missiles you choose to go for are going to work well, buthaving the ability to completely disable a shipis a great combo and a lot of fun as well.
4TU-B4 Laser Turret
Upgrade For Hire
This upgrade will have to bedone through one of the expertside questsinStar Wars Outlaws, which you’re able to see inYouTuber Trane067’s video. Teeka is known as the Hotfixer, and you can grab this with a fairly easy questline across Tatooine.
While you already have a laser cannon, this is a laser turret and can therefore give you some added offense and defense. At the beginning, you will see that the upgrade is blocked out showing that it is not available until you do this quest.

You will have to make it to Tatooine and find Teeka before you can start this quest. It will be helpful if you have agood reputation with the Huttsbeforehand.
Once you have this laser turret, there are a couple of other things you can do after that. There isat least one upgrade for this turret, which upgrades the damage you can do with it. This is not a priority upgrade since the laser turret by itself is quite nice, but it is handy to have. You can alsochange it into an Ion Turret, but it is up to you which you prefer there, as you can have other ion weapons on the Trailblazer.

3H-SD Durallory Hull
Hull Upgrade
The last possible upgrade for your Hull, this one gives youmuch greater durability and makes your auto-repair functionthat can trigger during battle better. The durability increases theTrailblazer’s HP, and the auto-repair means that yourship can take damage and remove that damagewithout your input during battle. This is why it is one of the best upgrades for your ship.
How Star Wars Outlaws Ties Into The Comics
Massive Entertainment has worked with Lucasfilm to pull lore from a large pool of other Star Wars media, including comics.
Crucially, you will want tokeep the hull in the best shape possible, as without your Hull your ship has no HP and cannot be flown. If you want to see some examples of combat and why it is important to keep your hull updated, check outGamersPrey’s video. Take care of your ship and it will take care of you, generally speaking, so make sure you areready to go before you leave the spaceport.

2Top Roll Maneuver
Expert Upgrade
There are some upgrades that you can only get byusing an expert inStar Wars Outlaws. These are not determined by your current upgrade progress or by the ship itself, but rather about who you know. For instance, Lando cangive you the ability to strafe in your ship, which is otherwise unable to be unlocked. You can see how to get toLando inStar Wars Outlawshere.
You can strafe in theTrailblazer
you’re able to upgrade/replace theTrailblazer’s laser turret
you may perform a 180-degree turn in theTrailblazer
Top Roll Maneuver
You can perform a 360 loop turn that positions theTrailblazerbehind a current pursuer
However, theTop Roll Maneuver from Rooster is one of the better expert upgrades, as it allows you to position yourself directly behind an enemy. This lets you get the advantage and prevents your enemies from giving you grief. Additionally, this allows you to have themost control over some of your space battles. To see exactly how to find Rooster, check outYouTuber ZaFrostPet’s YouTube video.
1C-K12B Rapid Fire Cannon
Laser Cannon Upgrade
There are a fair amount of laser cannons on theTrailblazer, andthere are three separate upgrade trees for them. These three types are all very useful, as these will be your main weapons and your main source of dealing damage on your ship. While there are other options, such as missiles and ion cannons, these are yoursimplistic bread-and-butter upgrades that will make your life much easier.
C-K10A: This cannon fires in bursts and hits multiple targets.
C-K12B: Increases the rate of fire and burst duration.
The rapid-fire cannon is themost useful for large space battles, mainly due to the nature of being able to hit multiple targets at the same time. This, in combination with some of the expert upgrades, can get you behind your enemies and with the potential to take out quite a few of them at a time. Don’t sleep on this upgrade inStar Wars Outlaws, as you may be sure your enemies would not.
